Fairbanks Hill
Here in Fairbanks, Alaska, we've had -40°F to -50°F weather for about two weeks in a row and very thick ice fog. Here are some photos of the fog in the area. It's rather reminiscent of Silent Hill, don't you think?

Please forgive the black or white line that appears in most of these photos. They were taken through the windshield of my boyfriend's truck, and that is the crack in the windshield.
The fog is actually much thicker than in these photos because my camera automatically tries to clean up what it thinks is interference in pictures, thus eliminating some of the lovely and spooky mist.
I hope you enjoy the pictures.

AWESOME!
Very nice. I haven't seen Fairbanks since 1978.

Re: AWESOME!
From what I've heard, it hasn't changed nearly as much as you'd think a city would in that period of time. I know it really hasn't changed that much since I can remember (I was born in 1985 and have lived here all but about the first year of my life, so I remember from... oh... probably 1988 onward.)

Re: AWESOME!
I've never seen Fairbanks before, but looking good. Especially with that fog. It makes me feel... Whoa, I don't know... Kind of lost in time or something... It is possible to realize, if you'll look narrowly. It's "absorbing". Cool feeling!

I am extremely pleased someone else made this comparison!!! Fairbanks does indeed look like Silent Hill. :D

It sure does sometimes, especially the industrial/railroad areas. I have some great pictures of buildings near the Wells Street Gallery with rust sort of creeping up on them, they are really quite eerie. I wish I knew where I saved them, I think I'll have to check through my old photo backups for them. Once I find those pictures I'll be sure to post them here as well.

That Denny's is up to no damn good.

That 's funny
Seriously, no idea why that phrase is cracking me up every time I look at it.

Re: That 's funny
That's the Grand Slam induced lunacy setting in, brought upon by the lingering horrors of the atrocious sins once committed by a particularly nasty and unscrupulous order of Moons Over My Hammy made by a violent escaped convict at that certain Denny's in 1989. This laughter, oh yes, this mania you are experiencing, will only grow worse with time.
